Extension & refurbishment of dental surgery
Extension & internal refurbishment of an existing dental surgery and first/second floor maisonette in Hove.
What did DZ do?
We took over the project after planning approval had been granted but did some 'value engineering' on the project to remove elements that weren't required and to simplify the shop front design. Once the design changes were agreed we then proceeded with the following:
- Planning application for the amended shop front design.
- Building Regulations application for all works.
- Full interior design scheme.
- Preparation and submission of a full tender package.
Design issues
The overall scheme had been broadly agreed but we were responsible for liaising with the specialist dental suppliers and the client to maximise the space and give a modern inviting feel to the surgery.
Did DZ get involved in the build?
We dealt with the tender process and held per-contract meetings but the client took over once the contractor was appointed.
