Side infill extension
Side infill extension to a 4-storey Victorian Terrace house in Brighton to open-up from the kitchen into the side yard.
What did DZ do?
Working closely with the client we developed an initial sketch idea combining the clients own ideas with our knowledge of what could be realistically achieved. This was done through a series of sketch plans and a coloured visual which helped to illustrate the proposal.
Once the design was agreed we prepared more detailed computer drawings along with specification notes and made the building regulations application.
Did DZ get quotes from builders?
We issued the Building Regulations drawings to a few carefully selected builders on the client's behalf. The client then decided who they felt most comfortable working with and we gave our opinion of the prices.
Did DZ get involved in the build?
In this case we were not employed to project manage the job or administer a contract in any way but we did meet with the contractor on a couple of occasions to discuss certain queries they had and to help resolve details as required.
